Information about "On Parade" the Annual Show and Competition put on by the OMSS.

ON PARADE has been cancelled for 2021 due to the situation with the Covid-19 virus.
We hope to be back again in 2022.

Saturday, June 13, 2020                    10 am to 4 pm
Humber College Lakeshore Campus
Centre for Entrepeneurship

17 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive,  Toronto Ontario

"On Parade" is the Ontario Model Soldier Society's annual public show and celebration of the hobby of model soldiers.  Thousands of model soldiers from many historical eras and countries will be on display - everything from small wargames figures to 1/6 scale figures and vehicles.

For 2020 the show returns to Humber College Lakeshore but this year we have moved to a different building within the campus.  We will be in the Centre for Entrepreneurship where we will have the entire ground floor.  The Centre is located a few hundred yars east of the main college building where we were last year.

For detailed directions to the show and Humber College facilities see our Show Directions handout.

Vendor tables

Our vendor area is a main feature fo the show and is always a lively area.  Lots of  hobby related merchandise on offer.   New and vintage toy soldiers, books, militaria, figure and model kits and lots more.

Some vendors are set up to take credit cards, but most will prefer cash.  If you run short there is an ATM in the main college building nearby.

Table rental is only $50 if you book before the end of April ($60 thereafter).  We are a bit tighter on space this year and tables are sure to sell out, so it's best to book as early as possible.  If you are interested in selling at our show please download our Vendor Information Package.

W. Britain Company Display and Seminar

The W. Britain company will be at the show to display some of their latest releases and talk to collectors.  They will be selling memberships to their Collectors Club and there will be a draw for members who sign up at the show.

Ken Osen of W. Britian will be presenting a free seminar at the show, at 11 am and 1:30 pm.  This was a very popular feature at last year's show and we are offering two sittings this year to give everyone a chance to attend.

Thousands of model soldiers on display from many periods and armies.  Pageantry across the ages.  Military parades, bands, vehicles and artillery.  Large scale (1/6) figures and vehicles.  There will also be table-top wargaming demonstrations.

Post-Show Meet and Greet

From 6 pm to 10 pm on Saturday we will be hosting a "Meet and Greet" event at the college.  This is a chance for show attendees, vendors and show volunteers to relax after the show and socialize.  We held this for the first time last year and everyone in attendance had a great time.

There will be a free draw for several prizes kindly supplied by the W. Brtain company.

This will feature a cash bar and a BBQ supper (which is optional).

All attendees at the show are welcome.  Admission is free; tickets for the dinner are $20 in advance or $22.50 on the day.
